Its not been a great time for us Gunners in recent weeks. Out of the FA Cup to an average Blackburn side, losing the Carling Cup final to Chelsea after outplaying them for long periods of the game but the killer blow was getting beaten by PSV in the champions league.

PSV was much of the same story. Most Arsenal fans could probably predict what was going to happen. I was surprised to see Denilson alongside Cesc. Maybe this was maybe because Arsene wanted us to have better possession and penetration. Gilberto is great at protecting the back four but his distribution is often lacking. Baptista took an awful long while to get himself involved in the game and this was a game where we needed an instant impact. If Ian Wright was 27 years of age and playing in this team we would have won the game 3-0 with Wright grabbing a hat trick with him walking off the pitch with the match ball. Wrighty was never the worlds best football player but he was a predator, we miss a predator who loves scoring goals.

From Aston Villa at the start of the season to now, its the same problem, the same situation. We don't have any goal scorers. Most teams in world football can say before a game, If they can out play the opposition and have the ball in the final third of the pitch then they would be very confident that they would win the game. With us sadly its no the same.

After a few days of contimplating our season it is clear that luck has not been with us over the course of the season with injuries. It may have been completely different if we had the luck of Manchester United. Maybe we would not be sitting here knowing that our season has ended.

Aston Villa is next up and our squad is right to the bare bones. I am not very optimistic about the match, due to the amount of players out but maybe we can start playing without as much pressure now and show that we are a strong force.

So let me stop reminiscing of days gone by and let me focus on our Welsh wonder. Let me start off by saying that I think it is quite obvious that Aaron Ramsey is better in central midfield. His partnership with Mesut Özil, his running from deep and his underrated ball winning ability makes him a ...Read more
