I have always been very interested in comparing teams and eras, wondering how the players of yesteryear would cope in the league we see today. I loved the old team of 1990/91 which only lost one game away to Chelsea. Lee Dixon gives his thoughts on where that team would finish in 2011.

I think some of the questions may have been a little controversial so they have been skipped. Here are the ones that were answered though. Enjoy.

  I loved that 1991 side. As Dixon said they weren't the best to watch and Smudger scored most of our goals with scrambled headers and toe pokes but there was a real desire and determination to win, combined with some flair from Merse and Limpar.

  The 3-0 against Liverpool at Highbury that season is still one of my favourite matches, having lost in the previous week 6-2 to Man U in the league cup, it was a legendary turnaround.

  put lee dixon in a position where he has to win th etitle as a 21 22 23 24 year old off players who had three times the expereince he had and were worth ten times what he was worth
  
  
  if you people think that the 90-91 team would win the title at 22 or 23 average age youre mistaken ....

  As Dixon said the 90/91 team would beat our current crop then that's the onlyu compariosn here. And they would.

  the 90 - 91 team would need 6 ambulances in first 20 mins and the best doctors contemporary medicine can find if they had to face walcott clichy song wilshere fabregas nasri van persie playing the arsenal way 90klm per hours up and down one touch pass and go.

  As Lee Dixon said when asked how he shut up the critics "I showed them my medals" All this present group can show is their Emirates cup medals.Doh!
