While I’m loathe to spend too much time discussing a player who no longer plays for our glorious, glorious club I feel that with everyone still talking about him I must at least give him a passing mention.

With all the focus on Cesc Fabregas over the past few days you’d be well within your rights to consider Arsenal a one man team - a one man team no longer in possession of that one particular man. A no man team, then.

Luckily for all of the Arsenal world, and unluckily for any of our potential opponents, we are not in fact a one man team. We are perhaps a team minus one man, but that’s about as far as this mathematical approach will take us.

Incredible as it is to say, I can confidently predict that our lineup against Udinese will look something like this:

Not Cesc Fabregas

Not Cesc Fabregas  Not Cesc Fabregas  Not Cesc Fabregas  Not Cesc Fabregas

Not Cesc Fabregas  Not Cesc Fabregas

Not Cesc Fabregas

Not Cesc Fabregas  Not Cesc Fabregas  Not Cesc Fabregas

This important CL qualifier is bound to be a tricky one but I’m confident that we have the weapons at our disposal to deal with whatever Udinese throw at us. With Not Cesc Fabregas in the Cesc Fabregas role we have plenty in our locker and with Not Cesc Fabregas coming in off the wings supporting him I think we should be taking a lead to Italy.

Prediction: Arsenal 3 (Not Cesc Fabregas 2, Not Samir Nasri 1) - Udinese 1

Well said WB, Cesc Fabregas is no longer Arsenal. therefore no longer worth talking about. It seems like so many are forgetting about how important tomorrow is and instead wrapped up in other nonsense.

We had a very good foundation at Newcastle and we know this team is capable of scoring goals. We need to keep that discipline and organisation about us, once we do that then the goals will fly in.

Interested to see what Wenger does without RVP. Will an out of form Chamakh come in or will he play three creative attackers all able to rotate and score goals.

    COME ON YOU ARSENAL

I would feel much more comfortable with Arshavin in the advanced mid role than Ramsey.

Walcot must lead the line, infront of Arshavin.

I agree..We all wish Cesc the best..there is no more to be said...lets speak of how we will manage to beat Udinese tomorrow. It's going to be a tough one given that our squad is still unsettled.Darn! Not the ideal way to start a season...and by the way, it is just me or Wenger seems like he was forced to sell Cesc.
I cant wait to see the back of Nasri.I wont settle for that kind of behavior at my club.We need players who want to play for us.WTH?

And ML..I dont think this team knows how to score goals.they run out of ideas in the final third..Hardly the hallmark of a team that knows how to score goals.Overall,I am disappointed at the general quality of my team but can't leave my wife just because she disappoints me..I know..marriage can suck sometimes!

its nice that champ league football is back (sorry spuds) , the cesc deal is done 35m up not bad.
its good to know that we have 20+ million to spend on replacements apparentley jadson and a defender should be here before the end of august so at least we will be slightly modified this season.
but for tonight i see a high tempo gerviniho giving the defenders kittens and a pacey wallcot helping us to an early lead.
i hope we can see a return to form of mr chamackh who was doing well until robin turned into a goal machine.

good luck arsenal we can get a win if we work hard enough.

Feeling apprehensive about tonight. Good defensive performance on Sat but lacking creativity and purpose up front. Now need to do better up front but without RVP and TR. Yikes.

gervinho looks like eboue with a worse haircut and shot, at least he is trying, unlike chamakh. bendtner looks the more quality replacement or companion to van persie. rosicky looked ok, so did ramsey, just ok. song was shocking, apart from a couple mistakes our defence looked solid and sczchesny made very good saves. not looking good.
