We haven't had the best of start in terms of availability of players this term and we have got a revamped Liverpool side at the Emirates tomorrow.

In defence, we definitely have Gibbs out of proceedings tomorrow, Djourou is rated 50-50. We saw Jenkinson make his debut for us in the Champions League the other night and to be honest I wasn't convinced with his performance at left back. Yeah, I agree he isn't a left back and he would suffer against a Liverpool side who are likely to play Downing on the right of their attack to trouble the inexperienced Jenkinson. Jenkinson on the right is his preferred position, while Sagna on the left who we all know as the experience to do a job there could work. We also have Djourou who could also make it in time for tomorrow's thereby pushing Vermaelen to the left back slot.

We look very thin in midfield and to think last season we had a lot of numbers in that position is very sad. With Cesc, Denilson and Nasri out of the club..... Diaby, Wilshere and Song out of the game, Rosicky battling for fitness. We are left with just Ramsey and Frimpong. Those 2.... Ramsey and Frimpong are both going to be starters tomorrow, the question is who occupies the 3rd midfield slot.

Pushing Arshavin into the 3rd midfield slot creates a hole in our attacking 3 though in my opinion that is the right thing to do while Alex Oxlada-Chamberlain or Ryo can slot in seamlessly into our attacking 3.

We can also play with a 4-4-2 or 4-4-1-1 formation which I feel is the best formation given the non-availability of some key players. A centre midfield of Ramsey and Frimpong, with Arshavin and Walcott on the wings while RVP plays in the hole just behind Chamakh giving us numbers in midfield and also creativity in the middle.

I'm sure the best available squad would be put out tomorrow and we can get a good result. Wenger I'm sure is ready to battle and with Robin van Persie as a full captain in his first game at The Emirates we can conquer.

12 days to go and still no shinning new Centre Back and a Cesc replacement. The fans are getting impatient and I've to be honest and say I'm very impatient. Our transfers dealings should have ended a month ago but I can't seem to find a reasoning behind our dragging of feet.

We have Cesc, Nasri, Denilson, Eboue, Vela who are all out of the door, plus the likely departure of Bendtner and Traore yet we have only seen 1 ready made replacement in Gervinho. Chamberlain and Jenkinson will definitely come good but we need signings that can inspire the rest squad. Theo also talked about the need for new signings which we all can agree is needed.

My fear now is that we have a short time in beefing up the squad, the selling clubs would reluctant to sell knowing they have got a short space of time to find replacements.

New arrivals will surely find their way to The Emirates but truth be told I want them now, I mean this second.

Make it happen the board, Ivan Gazidis and Arsene Wenger. Please!!!

  I must say this is really very impressive. very detailed. Much said and much needs to be done within the limited time available.we need change and change we must have.hope the board gets this. Thumbs up to @Omomo14,nice article

  I saw the Arsene interview today (19th) and was so uninpressed and unsurprised it hurt!
  
  I fear after that verbal nonsense and insulting(to the fans) PR speak, we will see a big drop in the attendances in months to come. AW may produce a reasonable quality player just before the close of dealings, and if he stays true to his past games ,we will have already fallen 6 points behind Manure.
  
  Today Arsene sarcastically told the press that ' I have already made the quality signings I promised' and 'I have a very big squad already'...this is Wenger speak for " Once again I have almost made it from January to Sept without hardly touching the Millions that I have made on sales of top players". The fans can moan all they like after Sept 1st, because Aw will just say that he cannot do anything more until January..when of course yet again for the 6th season running , it will be too late.
  
  After the next two weeks there will be many, many statements about how unlucky we were to be without so many stars injured and suspended etc. That will be Arsenes way of excusing the lies and misleading statements put out by him and the board since last January.
  
  In short we are now in survival mode whilst our board and manager wallow in the massive profits being made! I never thought I would ever say this but now Usmanov now looks a handsome prospect (using Wenger speak).

  I have no worries about Frimpong playing against anyone. He looks fearless and physically very impressive.

  AW can't say anything to the press without it being mis-quoted. So he says nothing in a lot of words. And still gets mis-quoted often enough.
  Gunnerpete, what do you realistically want him to say?
  Maybe "I'm trying to buy messi but he doesn't want to move and they don't want to sell" or "We're putting an offer in for X (name your favorite of the moment)" so the Chavs or Arabs can jump in and offer double?
  I'm certain he's looking for more players but there aren't many that can play the arsenal system.
