Arsenal's improving form has coincided with the improving form of Spaniard Mikel Arteta and a few others in the Arsenal team including young Gooner Carl Jenkinson. The right back had some complimentary things to say about the accomplished midfielder.
Jenkinson said:
'He is going from strength to strength if you ask me, he was exceptional today, he has that experience and he's got that class about him as well. He will always keep the ball, when you think he's in a tricky situation he's got great feet and he will always get out of that situation.
He's a model professional and he is someone I look up to. He has been around the game for a long time so I can learn a lot off him and he has done really, really well.'
Arteta stroked home Arsenal's third to seal the game against West Brom and Jenkinson had the perfect view to have his say on the strike.
Jenkinson continued:
'Talking of his goal, I was right behind it, it was a great finish, right into the bottom corner'
I am loving all things Arsenal right now. From Mikel Arteta's quality to Carl Jenkinson's interviews. He is sounding very mature and confident these days. Listening to Jenkinson is like listening to a Gooner friend on mine and I find that very endearing.
Hopefully the boys can continue to improve and avoid injury over this stupid round of international matches like the plague.
At least Mikel Arteta will not get his hair ruffled during these internationals as he will be staying behind at London Colny. Given the amount of games he has played so far this season, he is due a good rest.

Add to that:
1. Ramsey's form is getting more consistent - brilliant ball to put Theo in behind the full back, but not just that, he was probing and involved the whole time he was on the pitch.
2. Gervinho has also found his feet - a constant threat the last two games.
3. The CB problem looks like a thing of the past. We now have 3 top class players fit and AW can rotate them to reduce the risk of injury/burn out - we know Djourou can play well with the right support around him, and Bartley says he is committed to coming back to the Emirates in the summer to win himself a place.
4. What goalkeeping problem?
5. Jack says he wants to play for Arsenal for life.
The only thing I still don't understand is, why bring Benayoun in on loan and send a dedicated gooner like Lansbury out on loan? Makes no sense to me, unless they are still not convinced he has the quality or attitude required.

Its not that Lansbury is or isn't a Gooner. Remember Jack was sent out on loan and returned the better for it. I think AW likes to put his players in a situation to challenge them. I think he's often asking in a more professional way the same questions we ask hyperthetically. Is this player prepared to do what it takes "professionally" to become a 1st team player? We would probably be saying is he one of us? Is he a Gooner?
Arsene by sending a player with potential out on loan is asking that player to prove himself by putting in the type of shift to prove he's good enough and be returned to us, as a 1st team player. For example Jack did it, Vela hasn't his loans to Salamanca Osasuna, West Brom and now Real sociadad have proved inconclusive, which is why the jury's still out on Carlos.
Benayoun is a different case and one that makes short term sense to me, he's a proven prem player with expirence who won't complain if he's used as a sub when he's needed. And he's sort of creative, a flair player.
