The Highbury Library animted promo v5 350x350

The team sheets have been handed in and as I mentioned earlier today, a number of possible teams could have been selected today. Arsene has gone for the following team to face Everton at Goodison Park.

BFG is back and straight into the starting line up. We haven't had the pleasure of watching Mertesacker in our line up since we lifted the FA cup in May. His height and leadership will be needed from set pieces, an area we have failed in recent times. He lines up alongside Chambers in the heart of defence. Kos is resting his injury I suppose.

Nacho Monreal continues at left back so let's hope he plays better and gets more support against Lukaku should he match up against our wee lil Spaniard.

Flamini is the preferred option as the deepest midfielder which is unsurprising given he is the experienced head and next down the pecking order, although I would understand why Chambers could be the favourite in some peoples eyes for his height and quality of pass.

As expected Oxlade-Chamberlain comes in and adds some more needed pace to our attack. I can't help but feel somewhat excited by the Ox and Alexis in the same team. Alexis Sanchez gets the nod as our centre forward and that is bloody exciting. Maybe he has been impressing in training in that position. Jack Wilshere should play from the right I guess with Ox on the left. Interesting.

Confirmed Line Up:

Ok, let us do this. A confidence boosting victory would be lovely but I'd bite your hand off for a draw.

His partnership with Mesut Özil, his running from deep and his underrated ball winning ability makes him a ...Read more
