The Highbury Library animted promo v5 350x350

Wow, didn't see that one coming. Arsene has rotated the team today but the big surprise is the selection of both Danny Welbeck and Oliver Giroud. It's even more of a surprise given that Alexis is one of the wide players. You'd imagine that Aaron Ramsey will be playing a rather disciplined role deeper today. Especially as we don't have the distribution of Mikel Arteta available. Both Kieran Gibbs and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have been rested to the bench.

It is a very attacking team and I hope we can perform well because it will be fun if we get this right. It will be interesting to see if we are more dangerous on set pieces with the two big guys up front. Should also help defensively.

The balance of the defence looks nice also. Monreal crossing balls to Giroud and Welbeck could be a profitable option for us. Great to have Laurent Koscielny back in the team. Love that guy.

Let's go and win this game now.

Confirmed Line Up:

Chambers Mertesacker Koscielny Monreal

Alexis Ramsey Flamini Cazorla

Subs: Macey, Gibbs, Bellerin, Rosicky, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Campbell, Podolski

Update: Arsene has said that Welbeck will be playing from a wide position, not so excited by that but let's see how that goes. He won't be restricted to a fixed position but I'd have loved to have seen both Giroud and Welbeck working off eachother. Anyway let's see how we do.

Come on you Arsenal!

His partnership with Mesut Özil, his running from deep and his underrated ball winning ability makes him a ...Read more
