The Highbury Library animted promo v5 350x350

The nerves from both sets of supporters have been interrupted temporarily by the team sheets being handed in. The big question was whether Alexis Sanchez has defied the odds or not and made the squad after injury. Well he does not make the squad as we expected. I am sure Alexis would have loved to have been involved today but his short and medium term health is far more important than just this 90 minutes, so I think the right decision has been made. Sorry-yeah Alexis, next time buddy.

One big call was the reintroduction of Danny Welbeck. I thought he might have had to take his place on the bench as he has missed a few weeks but his work off the ball has surely put him ahead of Walcott who might have expected to start today. Mesut Özil may start on the right today which gives him a bit more freedom to come inside and make the right passes.

Confirmed Line Up:

Subs: Szczesny, Gibbs, Gabriel, Flamini, Rosicky, Walcott, Akpom

It's gonna be a tough game but we have the quality and form to get a good result so let us get that. Post Match Podcast, Q&A and Match Thoughts tonight and tomorrow so keep your eyes out for that.

Another Arsenal start like this would be most welcome
