I was always going to be a rather interesting team selection today, a real chance to rotate the squad given the returning players we have. We've all been patiently (or not so in some cases) waiting to get a glimpse of new signing Mohammed Elneny, he starts today alongside Francis Coquelin which for me is the most interesting part of the team selection this afternoon. We should have a lot of running, energy and athleticism in that part of the pitch. I wondered whether or not we would see Tomas Rosicky start but it makes sense that Alex Iwobi gets a chance as he has impressed whenever he has featured for us this season, he could well be the future whereas unfortunately this could be the last season for Tomas. One thing is for sure, we will see plenty of football news online should the Czech international get on the pitch.

Alexis Sanchez is back in the team and I'm pretty sure we will hook him off at some point in the second half to save him for Southampton on Tuesday.

With Calum Chambers playing at right back it would be good to see Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain working back the other way to help his friend.

Isn't it good to actually have some attacking options off the bench? We have had to do without this for so long now, this will only improve when Danny Welbeck is back fit and ready for the squad.

Anyway let's hope they all gel quickly and show enough to get through to the next round of the Arsenal Cup.
