The Highbury Library animted promo v5 350x350

Slow moving news so far this morning. The mirror are reporting that Kronk and Ernie will form a stand up double act or something. A load of tosh if you ask me, they just are not funny enough if you ask me.

The Ljungberg to West Ham stories are still doing the rounds. I would not be opposed to this to be honest. As long as this forces Arsene to buy a winger then I'm all for it.

I did and will always admire his runs and goals over the years, and was very important to us over the years but I don't personally think that he has changed apart from his diagonal runs. Freddie was never one to run at defenders, was never one to create chances out of nothing and apart from his goal in the FA cup final against Chelsea I don't remember any long range strikes for us over the years. What Freddie did have was bottle and a high level of work rate. He was a big personality and was often the first goal scorer. But in this technically gifted team we need a Ljungberg upgrade. Someone direct, someone who can give us another dimension.

Speaking of wingers, Jose Reyes is linked with a move to Lyon but I thought the whole reason why he was sat in his room in London crying his eyes out with a nappy on was because he missed Spain and could not be without his dummy and country?

Anyway, this weeks AV Chat will on the move. I will be chatting about the match against Inter Milan while I am at the Emirates Stadium.

UPDATE: It appears that Ljungberg will sign for West Ham after all. Good luck to you Fred, thank you for all the goals over the years.

His partnership with Mesut Özil, his running from deep and his underrated ball winning ability makes him a ...Read more
