The Highbury Library animted promo v5 350x350

This week Gilberto is the captain of Arsenal. It appears that Toure, Gallas and Bert are looking after it for a week at a time. This time I think its pretty much official.

To be honest, I am not sure of the whole Gilberto for captain thing. I like the guy. Experienced, appears to be well liked by everyone in the squad and done fantastically as captain in Henry's absence last season.

BUT..........

Is Mr nice guy what we need as a captain? As much as William Gallas has pissed me off with alot of his outspoken comments, at least he seems like he has some fight about him.

I'm not sure how Gilberto is going to grab the team by the scruff of the neck on a cold night in Bolton. I know the captains armband doesn't mean everything because the likes of Lehmann, Toure, Gallas etc should all be captains on the pitch but the armband symbolises the team.

Anyway, good luck Berty boy.

There really isn't much more news at the moment. Unfortunately for me, I don't have the exclusives that Tribal Football have. I hope they don't mind me using some headlines but I thought I could get a few extra hits! So here goes...

AC Milan are going to buy Tomas Rosicky and our new recently installed captain Gilberto is off to Juventus. So when these don't happen you can say that you heard it here first.

Until tomorrow.

UPDATE: Just as I post this bloody thing news filters in that William Gallas will be made captain. Thats how fast the armband is being passed around. They just timed that to spite me.
Alot of mans dem will be upset by that choice but I think for the sake of the team it could be a positive thing for us. Now hopefully Gallas will sort out set pieces. Good luck Willy

So let me stop reminiscing of days gone by and let me focus on our Welsh wonder. Let me start off by saying that I think it is quite obvious that Aaron Ramsey is better in central midfield. His partnership with Mesut Özil, his running from deep and his underrated ball winning ability makes him a ...Read more
