The Highbury Library animted promo v5 350x350

I'm in a good mood today. The Arsenal beat Portsmouth well with 10 men and Chelsea lost 2-0 to Aston Villa. It is early days/doors etc but its looking quite open so far. Liverpool look very strong and Torres looks better than I thought he would.

The good news for us is that we have not seen the best of Robin Van Persie. He doesn't look like scoring right now but once he gets into his stride then the rest will follow.

Wenger has been saying that Cesc reminds him of Paul Scholes, he said.

"I made a tape of him last year and you wouldn't believe how many chances he had, in some games he had three! When he was a young boy he scored goals and that's a nice disease to have, sometimes it disappears but it always comes back when you are mature. He has a lot of characteristics of Paul Scholes I think. Frame, intelligence in the game, passing ability, knowing when to go in the box. He's only 20, people forget that."

I can see a slight similarity between both players, Cesc is probably more technical and Scholes has a better shot but luckily age is on Fabregas' side.

Just as we are scoring goals and have started clicking its bloody International week. If we get key injuries then I will not be very impressed.

So next up, Spurs. I hope we beat them convincingly.. I would luv it!!

His partnership with Mesut Özil, his running from deep and his underrated ball winning ability makes him a ...Read more
