The Highbury Library animted promo v5 350x350

I got to the Walking dead pretty late, which I must say is a good thing. It means I have been lucky enough to have every episode at my disposal. But that can be kinda unhealthy in itself. Watching too much of one thing can often lead to that programme sticking in your head. I keep imagining what it would be like to be confronted by a bloody thirsty zombie or walker as they call it.

So what has this got to do with Arsenal I hear you asking? Well the reason I bring this up is because I had a vision of Arsene Wenger stuck behind a door, using his feet to keep the door shut as a number of stumbling walkers bang into the door in the hope of getting some fresh flesh. But instead of walkers you could quite easily replace them with Arsenal supporters at present. Ok so the weekend's protest perhaps shows that the infection has not spread quite as far as we might have believed but there are enough out there do drag their feet along the ground and target the door that Arsene is standing behind.

I am fairly sure that all betting accumulator tips would all be pointing to the door caving in and Arsene turning into an Alsatian sandwich. Well I wouldn't bet my bottom dollar on it. This manager is long in the tooth and has enough experience to know that the right additions to this squad can make a huge difference but he needs to get to that position from here

Arsene Wenger has to hold on with all his might, if he can do that then he has a chance to escape and come back as the hero. Football is as fickle as it comes and Arsene knows more than most that if the walkers are distracted by something else then he can plan his escape. It will more than likely involve the transfer market, especially as he will be at least 3 players shorter this summer, as the out of contract experienced heads of Arteta, Rosicky and Flamini already have the door opened for them. So gaps will need to be filled before adding to the squad is even a consideration.

We already know that a top level striker has been a target of the manager for a few seasons now, I don't expect anything to be different this summer, in fact we may even have to step up our search as our lack of goals is clear to see to everyone including the manager.

With changes being made at management level at Chelsea, Manchester City and quite possibly Manchester United too, you would imagine that the transfer window will be a very busy and active place this time round.

There has been a massively leveling up between the top teams this season so you would imagine that the team who invest the best (not necessarily the most) has a good chance to mount a proper title challenge

There is no reason why Arsene Wenger should be in a different situation.

If he can hold that door firm, make a dash for the window successfully then he has a chance to live another day.

So let me stop reminiscing of days gone by and let me focus on our Welsh wonder. Let me start off by saying that I think it is quite obvious that Aaron Ramsey is better in central midfield. His partnership with Mesut Özil, his running from deep and his underrated ball winning ability makes him a ...Read more
