The Premier League is underway and the transfer window is now shut. There’s 35 games left to play and every team have their own faith in their hands. So what’s next for Arsenal? have analysed what season could be for the Gunners and where to put your money.

In a summer where Chelsea and the both Manchester clubs surely proved the depth of their wallets and underlined that they’re back in business, I think Arsenal will be fighting Liverpool and Tottenham for the 4th spot.

The three big elephants added fantastic managers and spines that are well and truly world class, where I think City and United are both in the front seat to drive for the title.

Arsenal looked to have made their business early, with the arrival of Granit Xhaka, but Arsene Wenger then all of sudden pulled the money plug and spent big on Mustafi and Peréz as well, something I don’t think he’ll have to regret.

Gunners had a shaky start to the season and especially on the opening day at Emirates (with the absence of Koscielny) we saw the flaws in the defensive set up. Mustafi will certainly help to build a stronger foundation and I hope to see more of Granit Xhaka as one of two in the central midfield.

Question will still remain if Olivier Giroud is still thought to be the main man up top – and my take is that he will have to place until he plays himself out of it. Wenger has a big love for his target man and as long as Özil and Alexis provides the pace and passes he will certainly score goals once again this season.

Arsenal is my favourite to take that place in the top four and one of the main keys will be the form of Mesut Özil. On his day, one of the best playmakers in the world, but also with a reputation to be way to much up and down during a full campaign.

Mesut Özil To Be Top Assist Man in EPL – 5/2 odds

Next game will be a perfect chance for the team to set a new standard and after two games on the travel it’s back to Emirates and the aim to pick the first points at home turf. Southampton are coming to London and I have a strong feeling that Arsenal will prove their worth and beat them quite easily.

Arsenal To Beat Southampton – 6/10 odds
