The Highbury Library animted promo v5 350x350

After 15 meetings, Arsene Wenger finally won a game against Jose Mourinho in a competitive match. This might sound like a break from the norm and the mental blockage those days whereby going into an encounter in which both managers are on the touch line, you almost feel Jose Mourinho's team will win. So much so that many fans up and down the country will be using their android casino apps and betting on the Manchester club in this huge clash.

This time around Arsenal fans and players believe they have what it takes to defeat Jose and his United team. This feeling had never been there in the past years. Why did it take this long to get to this stage?

Throughout the last 15 meetings between both managers, Arsenal approach towards big games like this have always been full attack and not caring about the consequences of the opposition attack. That is why an Arsenal team go into a game and end up been blown away 6-0 by a team that had an ageing Samuel Eto. The current Arsenal team has been able to find balance in attack and defence.

The cohesion in the team at the moment also helps the North London side to compete favorably with one of their oldest rivals. It is even puzzling that the balance in the two teams is coming now that United have spent a lot in investing in their first team compared to Arsenal.

Despite paying £89m for Pogba and £70m for Lukaku and paying other huge amount for players like Linderlof, Martial and the rest, United only seat four points ahead of Arsenal and a win at the Emirates would reduce that to one point.

What Arsenal rely on is their solidity as a team. Arsenal have not only close the gap on Jose Mourinho's team but also on United as a market force.

The match this weekend has been slated as a £1B match as both teams have over that amount in revenue in last season. Arsenal £420m is only bettered by United's £581.2m in revenue last season. Both clubs are internationally known across the globe and have one of the largest fan base in the world.

What Arsenal only need to do now is to show the significance of their improvement by challenging for the league title and winning. Same will have to said of United too. Winning the premier league is paramount to any improvement Wenger wants to claim over Jose. With three league titles apiece, the race for the manage to make it four first is on.

So let me stop reminiscing of days gone by and let me focus on our Welsh wonder. Let me start off by saying that I think it is quite obvious that Aaron Ramsey is better in central midfield. His partnership with Mesut Özil, his running from deep and his underrated ball winning ability makes him a ...Read more
