Our attentions turn back to the league, as we take on Reading in our last game before another fucking international break. Just as our squad started to look concerningly injuryless. After the mega bore fest on Wednesday we’ll be returning to full strength to take on a Reading side whose recent form reads: LWLWLWL. Unfortunately for us that means Reading are going to win this game. Drat.
Before a two week break we can’t let United sneak any closer to us, a win is important here, especially after an unprecedented two games in a row in all competitions without. United take on Blackburn at home on Sunday, which has potential for points dropped, which we need to take advantage of if that happens.
We’ve only played Reading three times recently, winning them all. The last time we played them before that was January 1987, Nicholas and Hayes scoring the goals in a 3-1 victory. Reading are so inconsistent currently that their fans are being Impressive. The Fabregas-Rosicky-Hleb combo destroyed Reading at the Madejski last season, so let's hope for more of the same.
We’ll welcome back Toure and Rosicky for this one, as well as have Fabregas and Hleb back in the squad. Senderos is back in training, but won’t be back playing until after the international break. This should in theory be the last game we go without van Persie, although he’s not back in training yet.
Subs: Lehmann, Gilberto, Diarra, Walcott, Bendtner
