Hello peeps,

Hope y'all are having a good day? The weekend didn't go as planned as we failed to close the gap on 3 of our rivals who failed to pick up wins.

The Carling Cup is back and today we host City. We welcome back our ex-players who got lost along the way for one reason or the other. Nasri , we all know the real reason why he chose City...... Money!!!!

In our last game against Fulham, we saw a lot of tired legs and today's game is a real opportunity to rest key players. The likes of RvP, Theo, Ramsey, Arteta, Song, Santos, Mertesacker and Vermaelen would all be rested. A week's rest can do our key players a world of good so it is definitely welcomed!

Wenger in his Presser said there will be a mixture of experience and youth. Experience we all know would come in the likes of Arshavin, Benayoun, Park, Chamakh, Gervinho, Koscielny and Djourou while for the youth we would see the likes of Coquelin, Frimpong, Miquel, Yannaris, Eastmond, AOC strutting their stuff either from the start or from the bench.

Not going to sit and lie.... That i don't care about the outcome, most especially if its a Loss on the night. We know our target this season and its a top 4 finish and any other positives that comes after finishing in the top 4 should be a bonus.

We win tonight and I would definitely sing my lungs out, we lose tonight and I would sleep quite nicely. All in all we are in a win - win situation which I'm fine with.

Probable line up for today:

Fabianski

Djourou, Squillaci, Koscielny, Miquel

Coquelin, Frimpong, Benayoun

AOC, Chamakh, Park

This eleven is good enough for the night to send the City faithful back to Manchester crying plus we have got the likes of Arshavin and Gervinho waiting on the wings if we need a little bit of impetus.

Prediction: 2-0 Arsenal.

I'm sorry about the short write up, the assignment to write a match preview came on short notice. Hope its up to scratch though?

Until next time.... Stay cool!!!

good preview, I feel the same, couldn't really give a toss for this one, although, if we win, I'll definitely be happy, but that is always the case. I'll be working, so I won't watch the match, which isn't the end of the world, since nothing can ruin a good match of footy quicker than a shitty stream...

I normally think it's better to turn the other cheek, but that Nasri Unt really deserves a right royal bollocking should he play tonight. Was just watching a replay of the Money bags game gainst Pool, what a complete KNOB!!!!! I feel more hatred for that guy than I do for Sadabyeor. And I HATE that guy...

either which way, let's hope the passion of youth out does the heartless mercenary scum...

If he does - please support him and give him confidence. No point in being all nervous about it, because it affects the players.

Arsenal we win at Home or a Draw will also be better because most of us are young the good news we Have experience with that we can make the blue go back home asking themselves why? and how? from Namibia. :D

Why... you losers want to hang on to moral Victories? We are playing at home, and offensively should trouble any team. If (big If) Arsene gets the team right! We could have Agianst Fulham had he played Arshavin in the middle instead of tired Ramsey who couldn't keep up with the Ball and has little pace to trouble defenders. I'm worried about the defense and tired legs. Fullbacks going to be either real inexperienced or big and slow against Adam Johnson and Co.... Center backs should do well combos of SQ/JD/Miguel/Kol. Defensive mids Coquelin/Frimpong or both should play, because Diaby not available. Yossi/Arshavin/OX/Park/Chamakh/Gervinho/.... I want Arshavin right behind the Striker... Ox to emulate Theo and peper crosses into the box for Chamakh and Park... My Team and you blame be for defeat is:
    Lukas
    KOL SQ JD Miguel
    Coquelin Yossi
    Arshavin
    Gervinho Chamakh OX

    Lets go Gunners.....
    Yerranis
    Frimpong
    Park
    Andrey Arshavin
    Yossi Benayoun
    Marouane Chamakh
    Francis Coquelin
    Johan Djourou
    Craig Eastmond
    Lukasz Fabianski (GK)
    Emmanuel Frimpong
    Gervinho
    Laurent Koscielny
    Ju Young Park
    Vito Mannone (GK)
    Ignasi Miquel
    Nico Yennaris
    Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
    Oguzhan Ozyakup
    Sebastien Squillaci
    Thomas Vermaelen

Having pulled themselves up after a terrible start it is incredibly important to maintain a positive run of performances and results.Three of Arsenal's main rivals have already beaten "mix and match" Arsenal sides and City shouldn't be allowed to impose their will on tonight's team.I'm not altogether sure why Diaby isn't in tonight's squad.I'm not a big fan and how else is he going to get any degree of match fitness.Surely he's capable of an hours play.He should have been given a start along side the strength and agression of Frimpong and Coquelin and the experience of Benayoun.OK,Wenger would have had to change the formation slightly but to be honest ,without RVP,there is no point in playing 4-3-3 centred around a sole striker.A second string side must look to load the mid-field so that the back four can be better protected and the team can attack the opposition with greater strength.
Otherwise I just hope that Squilacci gets no closer to the pitch than a seat on the bench.
