The Highbury Library animted promo v5 350x350

I have pretty much blocked out all football news since the Tottenham draw on the weekend. I haven't read a single blog in that time and have only flicked on Twitter on a couple of occasions. Like any addict I had my withdrawal symptoms but managed to resist so today I am quite looking forward to having my fix.

After searching around today, it looks like we are scratching around for some midfielder's to play tonight against Galatasaray at the Emirates. Aaron Ramsey has damaged his hamstring, Mikel Arteta has a calf problem and while Jack Wilshere is in the squad, I just don't see Arsène taking a gamble on him not when we have a busy schedule on the horizon.

What will be interesting now is how we set up. It's clear that Arsène wants to see the 4141 through, especially in big games. I assume it is the big games that has instigated this change in the first place but with Arteta and Rambo out, and perhaps even Jack not available from the start I wonder if the players available would suit the 4231 once more.

Another question will be that of Alexis Sanchez. How long will he be kept on the bench? I assume it is while he adjusts to Wengerball and I'm sure Arsène would have been asking him to adapt his game in training sessions. But Alexis Sanchez has not come to Arsenal to sit on the bench in these games, I'm also sure that Arsène hasn't spent £33m+ for his whirlwind forward to be seated on the bench only getting 20 minutes of action.

Santi Cazorla deserves a start in the team, he made a difference against Tottenham and hasn't had a great deal of football in recent weeks so you'd think his freshness might be important this evening.

Given the Dortmund result and performance, it is vital that we grab all three points tonight. A fluent attacking performance is also pretty important so here is to hoping we do the business and grab the morale boosting victory that will see us batter our next Premier League opponents.

One can hope right?

Mean Lean's Predicted Line Up:

Short one today as I have to dash out so enjoy the game and fingers crossed for three lovely CL points.

So let me stop reminiscing of days gone by and let me focus on our Welsh wonder. Let me start off by saying that I think it is quite obvious that Aaron Ramsey is better in central midfield. His partnership with Mesut Özil, his running from deep and his underrated ball winning ability makes him a ...Read more
