What a funny game this was, it almost seemed unreal.

This side was a completely different side to the team who scored three goals at Anfield on Saturday.

Both teams were poor in the opening 15 minutes or so with no real cohesion from both sides until Kolo Toure played a ball over the top to an unmarked Aliadiere to score after the second attempt.

Fowler flicked in from a left wing cross soon after to make it 1-1 typical Robbie Fowler of old.

Then the game just went crazy after that. Liverpool looked a complete mess and our young side grew in confidence. We passed the ball around like we owned the place (Which of course we did)

Julio Baptista had a very slow start to the game and it looked like one of those games where nothing would go right for the big Brazilian until Arsenal won a free kick just outside the box, and in true Brazilian style he curled it over the wall and past Dudek then we saw a totally different player.

Alex Song scored with his arm from a corner after the ball deflected to him from Hyypia who made Igor Stepanovs look like Franco Baresi in his prime. He was truly dreadful.

Another 3 goals at Anfield! Surely it can't get any better than this, can it?

In first half stoppage time Baptista played a lovely 1-2 with Aliadiere who I hold my hand up to, played extremely well. I have ripped into him previously in the season but he looked very sharp and his movement was far too much for Liverpool to handle. Aliadiere cut the ball back into Baptista's path and he tapped in from close range.

ITS HALF TIME AND WE ARE WINNING 4-1 AT ANFIELD!!!

Second half starts much like the first ended. Aliadiere won a penalty after a clumsy challenge from Cygan Hyypia. To be fair, it wasn't clear cut but it looked like a trip to me.

Baptista picked the ball up and I thought he would score as he scored many from the spot whilst being a Sevilla player, but Dudek did his only good thing in the past 4 days and save well to his left side.

The Beast didn't have to wait long for his hattrick. Cesc played a wonderful pass into the path of Aliadiere who cut inside and played a great ball to Baptista who wasn't closed down and he didn't need an invitation to shoot, and he found the bottom corner.

If Julio can fit in and get used to English football then we can expect to see alot more of that from him. Even with him off the pace, you can see that he gets into many goalscoring positions and we need that with our squad as we have alot of creators who are not natural goal scorers.

The score could have ended up anything at all. It was so stretched it was untrue. Liverpool were trying to get back into the game and Arsenal were trying to play attractive attacking football.

Steven Gerrard who didn't have his greatest game tonight pulled one back with a wonderful volley from outside the box, his technique for striking the ball is up there with the best in the world. 5-2!

Hyppia powered in a header from a corner with Arsenal defending in typical fashion, 5-3 and the Kop roared in the hope that they could somehow turn this around.

on 84 minutes Liverpools tail finally dropped as Aliadiere chased a long clearance from Hoyte and instead of holding onto the ball and waiting for support he decided to take on Paletta and drive past him from the right hand side into the box, Baptista was powering forward like Donkey Kong to get into the middle (Not many of these in this Arsenal side you know?!) and he played a perfect ball for the Brazilian to put the game out of sight. 6-3! 6 GOALS AT ANFIELD

We know that this wasn't Liverpools strongest side, and we know that this isn't ours. The difference between the teams was the fact that our youngsters have grown and learnt together under Wenger. They know the system, they play reserve team football week in week out. They train with Henry, Cesc, Rosicky, Gallas etc
Liverpool threw in alot of fringe players who are not good enough along with inexperienced kids and it really showed. It looked like the players did not know who there own team mates were. We simply outclassed them from start to finish. If we defended the way we did on Saturday then it would have been alot more embarrassing for Liverpool.

It looks like we have another little Fabregas in our reserve. Little Denilson looks very good on the ball and has an eye for a pass. I'm looking forward to seeing more of him. It was also nice to see Abou Diaby back on the pitch. He will be important for us in the near future.

So we have a semi final against the scum to look forward to. Wouldn't it be nice for the kids to do the same to them!

Well done Arsene, we can all see what you building here, and I'm excited by it.
