Get in! So we have done double over the old enemy. What a way to end the game. Its normally United who score the late minute winner. But not this time.

We were not at our best today, Manchester United started the game very positive and played much like how we did at Old Trafford. Scholes, Carrick and Giggs dominated early on and we found it hard to get on the ball.

Cesc grew as the first half went on and we started having an equal share of possession. Henry was playing on the fringes of the game and couldn't really influence much. Adebayor worked extremely hard and chased down anything in blue that moved.

I thought both our wingers (who were fantastic against Blackburn) were pretty close to pooh today. Perhaps pooh is a bit harsh more like bad wind. Basically there were not very influential and Man Utd has the better of the midfield tussle. As much as I admire Flamini's workrate and team play, his first touch and control is severely lacking.
From over passing the ball in the final third, we started playing the ball alot longer in the second half, maybe because we were not playing very well and couldn't string many passes together.

Manchester United's goal was very much like the counter attacking Man U teams of the early nineties. Evra would I thought played really well, out sprinted Fabregas and whipped in a cross to the back post for Rooney to head past Lehmann. Where did Eboue decide to go at that time? I've seen the replay and I don't remember seeing him anywhere near the play.

I was hoping for an instant change from Wenger but that didn't happen. I was frustrated that he was leaving it too long. What do I know about football??

It was the 67 minute that Robin replaced Hleb, who deserved to be replaced. I was confused as to why Arsene switched Van Persie and Rosicky around as RVP has scored alot of his goals from the right hand side. But wasn't I wrong! Great work from Cesc and Rosicky to win the ball from Scholes and a great low ball into the box which Henry tried to back flick it into the goal but missed but Van Persie was yep. you guessed it on the left in the right place to hit it high into the roof of Van der Sar's net.

In the last half an hour of the game Thierry Henry must have caught the Adebayor disease, because he was running around like a mad man, chasing down Man Utd players all of the pitch and you could see that he desperately wanted it (The victory, that is)

90 minutes had elapsed and we were having more of the play, I was hoping for a late winner but thought that we very rarely get late winners against the big sides.
But the boys done well. Rosicky played a neat one-two with Eboue and he produced one of his early season benders into the box for Henry to leap and glance high past the Man Utd goalkeeper.

We could have had a penalty in the first half, Rooney had a snap shot saved by Lehmann and there were many more exciting moments in another wonderful match between these two sides.

We played better at Old Trafford but this match shows that we have the sprit and determination to come back against the good sides. God, I'm starting to sound like ol Arsene now.

If only the season finished in July!

update

It looks like we will get to see Adebayor and Henry develop their partnership a bit more often in the upcoming weeks. Robin has done his metatarsal in his right foot and will be out for a long time. I guess if there is a time to do it then its scoring the equaliser against Man Utd. Get better soon Robin.

So let me stop reminiscing of days gone by and let me focus on our Welsh wonder. Let me start off by saying that I think it is quite obvious that Aaron Ramsey is better in central midfield. His partnership with Mesut Özil, his running from deep and his underrated ball winning ability makes him a ...Read more
