The Highbury Library animted promo v5 350x350

Its very difficult to write a match review when I didn't actually see the match. But hey, its worth a go.

It was a huge relief to see (listen) to us score after 4 minutes. Great, I thought we can relax and play champagne football and smack a poor Fulham side for 5's or 6's. But for some reason it wasn't like that at all. We decided to switch off and play the rest of the match in -3 gear. Whatever that gear maybe.

Adebayor made the first goal with a lovely run and cross, something you really don't associate with Arsenal. But Baptista made the most of it with a leap ahead of Rosenior to nod in past Niemi.

I blame Arsene for the missed chances after that. He really should scrap using Rugby goals for training as Baptista and Adebayor continued to try and get extra points.

Cesc wasn't quite his usual self, Baptista was ....... I can't be bothered. I just hope that Arsene does not decided to keep him.

Second half we went to sleep, and Fulham started to be a bit brave. They started having more than 3% possession and I could sense that it was only a matter of time before they scored.

Mad Jens high on his new 1 year contract decided to come out for a long ball into the box which he should have not been anywhere near, fumbled a punch straight to the ex spurs midfielder Simon Davies who lobbed Lehmann superbly with his wrong foot into the in empty net. Good! We deserve it for being so stupid and complacent.

But at least we responded well, and someone must have had a polite word with Adebayor and told him the correct goal measurements because he bent in a lovely second goal with a very Henry like finish.

There was still time for Gilberto to score the third from a penalty after Hleb was chopped down.

So another 3 points, not very impressive but its still 3 points with nothing much to play for. Hopefully the energy and commitment will be a little different next Sunday.

So let me stop reminiscing of days gone by and let me focus on our Welsh wonder. Let me start off by saying that I think it is quite obvious that Aaron Ramsey is better in central midfield. His partnership with Mesut Özil, his running from deep and his underrated ball winning ability makes him a ...Read more
