Do we look like a championship winning side? Do we even look like a side good enough for second place?

They are questions that I would like to know to answers to at the end of the season. So much can happen in the course of 1 season. At this stage last season we were moving the ball around effortlessly and creating a crazy amount of chances. We WERE the very best in the Premiership at that point, and it was a joy to watch.

Its all so different this season... We are really struggling to find our game. Our quick, one touch football is slowly disappearing as confidence must surely be draining away. Alot of people will point to Maik Taylors heroics in goal but I think its more than that. We are really lacking senior players in our side. I've said it before and I'll say it again, it looks as if we are watching one of our carling cup teams. Plenty potential and not enough end quality. Reyes had about 74,000 shots on goal and still did not look like scoring (Probably because he is not a striker)
I thought Freddie Ljungberg would grab another goal but didn't really have many chances to get on the score sheet.

Birmingham to their credit gave us a good game in the first half and did not come to Highbury to sit back, Pennant was terrorising us in the early stages and whipped over several fantastic crosses, but luckily for us they had an oaf upfront.

I bet the rest of the Arsenal team were about to cringe when the ball fell to Robin Van Persie outside the box and were about to yell at him for doing a stupid thing like shooting! But they probably kept their disgust to themselves when it found a way in.......For those who don't get it, that's a thing called sarcasm ok?! Derr! Do you understand now?!!!

Positives??

We won!

Campbell has transformed our backline

Probably the most pleasing is that we look dangerous from set pieces now

Negatives?

Our forwards are not scoring goals

We do not have a dominating centre midfield player

We do not shoot!

If Wenger does not bring in a quality goalscorer and another experienced midfielder then we may as well wave the white flag!
