I am not suggesting that playing Ramsey centrally will solve our problems. His performances this season should have been better too. But surely playing him in his natural position will be the best for his development. His opportunities in the middle have been limited as Arsene has rarely rested Cazorla or Jack and you can see it is taking the toll on them.  Why not try playing Cazorla out wide who has played well there for his previous sides and play Ramsey or Rosicky in the middle?  I don’t have much hope as Arsene

Now to come to the second part of my article. I feel that our lack of a defensive minded midfielder can be addressed by making use of someone within our ranks. If you haven't guessed it already, I am talking about Thomas Vermaelen. He has everything you look for in a defensive midfielder: reasonably quick, physical strong, exceptional tackler, calm in possession and has a wide range of passing. His aggression and reckless style of play will actually suit this role, since he can bomb forward at will and have

Aaron Ramsey has been asked to do a job, perform certain tasks that Chamberlain, Gervinho and Arshavin cannot do. Asked to tuck inside and make us stronger centrally thus freeing up the wide player on the other side. It frustrates me when I read how the manager is asking Ramsey to play as a winger, he isn't. It hasn't come off very often but Ramsey's form has fluctuated. Aaron Ramsey's best game of the season came against Manchester City away from home this season. Possibly the best player on the pitch

I didn’t have that much of a problem with Arsene rotating the squad for this game. I would have liked Ramsey to have to have started ahead of Diaby because i don’t rate him one bit. I was surprised Podolski was left out considering he didn’t play against sunderland but apart from that i

The Arsene Wenger that is in control of the team sheet and the pitch is still good enough. He is still the man that engineered possibly the greatest tactical success European football has ever seen in a team going unbeaten for 49 games. I want to take the burden of being in charge and in sole responsibility for the players we sign off of him a little bit. I think that unless there is change that gives us a system where there is a man who knows ABOUT FOOTBALL AND THEREFORE THE MARKET OF PLAYERS, who in turn would be a man who has evolved to the changing world of the transfer market, then there can be a future for him at this club. I don't think that more than 3 managers in the world could have beaten Arsene's record at Arsenal in the system that he has had to facilitate since 2005. One of those is Sir Alex, I'd potentially put Jose there but purely through his skills as a tactician, i don't actually think there could ever be an environment where we could have him as our manager, and in fact the last is Moyes. Lately we have heard the

So let me stop reminiscing of days gone by and let me focus on our Welsh wonder. Let me start off by saying that I think it is quite obvious that Aaron Ramsey is better in central midfield. His partnership with Mesut Özil, his running from deep and his underrated ball winning ability makes him a ...Read more
