When Wenger came to Arsenal, everything changed. We started winning games and winning beautifuy too. Some inspired signings brought the premier league to Arsenal three times. In 13 years Wenger won it three times. I remember one time Arsene said, "Liverpool dominated in the 80s, Man Utd in the 90s, and its only logical Arsenal dominate in the turn of the century." That domination didnt exactly turn out. We won it twice this decade, the rest been all Man utd and a lil bit of Chelsea.

Now Arsene's time at the helm been great, but we havent been really competing at the top consistently since that unbeaten season. I know some fans would say we went to the champions league final n semi-finals, and almost won the pl before last season, I dont know about you but almost winning isnt exactly what i would want to hear when it comes to a club like Arsenal.

Should we be satisfied saying, oh we got to the semis in the cl? That frankly is Arsene's crap, Arsenal is a big club, and we might have got there because of him but that doesnt mean we owe him the right to forgive him when seasons go wasted due to his stubborness. We know this current squad isnt enough to challenge for the premier league or champions league. I dont know about other fans but i go into a new season saying Arsenal will do a treble but honestly going with that 4-3-3 on a good day we match Barca's 4-3-3 but that just it, on a good day, the rest of the days we just another 4th place team. We need another Sol Campbel, another Vieira, or else we not going to win anything. We need another leader, we need to get stuck in.

When we play teams like stoke, honestly we get bullied. There is no Vieira or Campbell, to fight back, Now we have Denilson and a cry baby in Eboue Wenger keep saying that the squad is good enough but think about how long he has been saying that?. Diaby would have been almost perfect to fill in Vieira's boots but there comes that "almost" word again, Well at least we know Cesc's leaving next year, and funny thing is, Wenger wont even replace him, he'll probably say Denilson is good enough to fill in or better yet Merida.

Grasshopper, you are acting as if nothing has changed since Wenger joined the club. You must be able to see how much of an impact that the Emirates stadium had to our club. Can you imagine any manager in the world having a team as good as it was in 2003/04 and then breaking it apart for no reason? I really cannot.

Some say absurd things like he wants to prove that he can win it with kids and he is just stubborn which is pure insanity. If this was the case then he would have dismantled the 'old back four' as soon as he got there and not bought experienced pro's such as Marc Overmars, Davor Suker, Sol Campbell and Arshavin etc.

We have had to cut down massively financial since the move from Highbury and the only way to continue buying world class on a limited budget was to buy world class youngsters. We could no longer compete with Chelsea and Manchester United in the transfer market so Wenger has gone another direction. Is it instant like Chelsea of a few seasons ago? No. It requires patience and support because make no mistake these players will be in the top bracket. How much would it cost to buy a 27 year old Cesc, Van Persie. Wilshere, Ramsey, Vela, Merida, Walcott, Emmanuel-Thomas, Frimpong etc etc the list goes on for ages.

We play some of the best football in Europe, and we have been close to trophies. Do I want to see silverware now? of course I do. I am sure the Aston Villa, Spurs, Everton etc supporters do also (who have a higher net spend than us in the last 5 years)

The way I look at it, is that I am going to be a supporter for life, nothing will change that so I am pretty confident that our future looks very very positive and healthy. Just enjoy what you see at present and hope we can iron out the parts that have been letting us down in recent seasons.

So let me stop reminiscing of days gone by and let me focus on our Welsh wonder. Let me start off by saying that I think it is quite obvious that Aaron Ramsey is better in central midfield. His partnership with Mesut Özil, his running from deep and his underrated ball winning ability makes him a ...Read more
