It’s just getting ridiculous how the media twist the Fabregas stories. Even when he is committing himself to Arsenal, they twist it to fit their wishes and make it sound as if he wants to join them. Like today, Fabregas has said he is happy at Arsenal, has been for 8 years, he’s praised the manager, the fans and the players and yet the headline of Sky Sport’s website is ‘Fabregas admits frustration’ to make it sound as if he is unhappy and therefore wants to go. When in actual fact he is saying ‘any player who says they aren’t frustrated at not winning a trophy is lieing’ and isn’t hinting at all that he wants to leave. It winds me up so much.

The ugly bloke on SSN follows reading these Arsenal committing quotes from our captain by saying ‘well he has been on holiday in Barcelona’ with an intrigued tone. Yes, that because his family live there dooshbag! He’s on holiday to them! Just because he’s been to Barcelona to see his family on holiday doesn’t mean he wants to leave Arsenal and join Barcelona does it? Lionel Messi’s been at Arsenal twice in the last year or so- does he want to join Arsenal and leave Barcelona?!

I can imagine in the year 3041 that Sky Sport News HDGSP channel 11098 will issue a breaking news bulletin saying:

‘Fabregas in Barcelona wish- Cesc wants to go’

‘But he’s been dead for years’

‘No he hasn’t! He’s joining Barcelona, whether he’s dead or not! We will not give up! He will join! He’s got to! Mark our words! It will be in your iPapers tomorrow!

It really does wind me up how they disrespect the club and its fans so constantly with these twisted Fabregas stories, willing him to go. What if he did go? What would they mindlessly speculate about then? They’d all be out of a job!

There’s no way they’d do it either if he played under Ferguson at Man Utd. They wouldn’t dare upset Fergie! But no, he plays for Arsenal and who cares about them? They haven’t won anything for a massive 6 years, so let’s disrespect them some more! Do you think this is why they do it so much- because we haven’t won anything in a few years? I’d love to know because they do seem to have it in for us, especially for Wenger.

On the positive however, atleast this is some good news. It’s nice to see Fabregas committing himself to the club and talking optimistically about the future, not to mention praising our fan base! It looks like there won’t be another massive transfer saga regarding him this summer- fingers crossed anyway!

It is the whole Arsenal in crisis angle that the media are always looking for. It has been happening for years. There is always a new player that the media would like to drive out of Arsenal and into the hands of a foreign team. From Patrick Vieira, Thierry Henry to today and Cesc.

We all know that Cesc would like to go to Barcelona at some point and that point might be right now. Barcelona have not yet offered us a bid that suits us. The rest is just media nonsense. I thought that most of the nonsense was via the Spanish press until I read these wonderful two pieces at Untold Arsenal.

  There are so many "northern" journalists in Media, that they hold a long standing grudge against Arsene and Arsenal. Witness the hapless Mark Lawrenson or Alan Hansen on MOTD. They have a confirmatory bias about everything Arsenal... if there is a negative to be amplified, they will do it. The same is true for most papers as well. And dont forget, SSN is owned by Murdochs who are spurs loving bunch of b***tards

  Sometime I wonder if we as Arsenal fans overeact to the media bullshit always putting our club down linking our players with moves away predicting us to finish lower next season every summer then I read the Fabregas crap and what he has said I'm happy at Arsenal and always have been it is the cubs decision to sell me I will not force a transfer. They somehow manage to make that I am frustrated and will put in a transfer request. Am I the only one who finds this incredibly insulting not just to Arsenal and Fabregas but all fans of football, they expect people to believe their nonsense

  It's possible that this happens, but we will not know if it's true or false until 1st july when the international transfer window opens (arsenal can be fined for making international transfers outside the window).
  The national transfer window is already open, but transfers from a non PL teams is not allowed!

  Believe me Podge- you're not the only one! It winds me right up! It is insulting and downright disrespectful. They twist things, and people actually believe. I get non- Arsenal coming up to me, like last night at football saying 'I see Fabregas is going' and I feel like telling them to wake up and smell what they're shovelling! They believe the headline as soon as they see it, because it appeals to them as exciting, good news (to them). It does me 'ed in!

You upset that observers point out ' the bleedin obvious' are you? To my mind the media are too lenient on this bunch of wasters and our ridiculous manager. If they actually analysed it properly they would see that this once great football club is going downhill and bloody fast. Stop shooting the messenger and read the bloody message.
